MADAME Tina (2015)

„MADAME TINA“ bezieht sich auf eine Hauptfigur im sexuellen Rollenspiel der Madame, welche ich für mich und meine Arbeit durch meine Erfahrungen auf dem Sexportal LESWING entdeckte. Mein Ziel war es nicht, mit meinem Profil eine Community zu beobachten, sondern Teil davon zu werden, die Regeln und Praktiken zu verstehen, mich abermals zu transformieren und wiederholt in die Richtung zu verändern um mit meiner neuen Identität „zu passen“: eine feminine BBW (big beautiful woman). Zu meinem Erstaunen entdeckte ich eine radikale queere Praxis in Bezug auf Männer, die sich heterosexuell in ihrem Begehren definieren. Für die Ausstellung habe ich in die Formensprache des Designs übersetzt eine Art Identitätsdisplay entwickelt, das mit einer Multiperspektive spielt - entgegen jeglicher Vereinfachung.

„MADAME Tina“ refers to a main figure in a sexual role-play that I discovered through my experiences at LESWING, a homepage where you can create a profile to find sex dates. My aim was not to observe a scene unknown to me - I wanted to become part of it, to become familiar with the rules, the practices, the actors, „to fit in“, or - in other words - to keep transforming my identity. In the past few months I formed my ideas on what MADAME could be like, how she could look, behave - but always in dialogue with my counterparts. I transformed myself into a feminine BBW (big beautiful woman). Much to my own surprise I discovered a variety of sexual practices that we would call queer among a community of men defining themselves as heterosexual with regard to their desires. But the two communities do not know about each other....my realization after all this is that desire is by far more diverse than I had thought. For the exhibition I will create an identity display borrowing its formal aesthetics once again from design. A multi-technical, multi-perspective display.
