scanning dimensions
audio-visuelle Performance
4-kanal Sound, 6-kanal Video
Conny Zenk is a visual composer, video and media artist working across topics dissecting social media, migration, gender and feminism as well as urban, architectural and spatial concepts. Active as a performer in the scope of visual music she is composing and visualizing in collaboration with inspiring musicians and sound artists. In various audio visual music projects her main work is about creating a language of improvisation between the body, the (digital) space and video based architecture. By means of generative programs she creates abstract elements such as oscillating lines and surfaces, granular flickering and stroboscopic impulses. Conny Zenk plays with the concept of perception and of what is not visible. Her work is framed by digital methods within the context of social and political questions.

Veronika Mayer, composer, sound artist and musician, active both in experimental electronic and instrumental music, creates in her improvisations flickering-noisy atmospheres and explores the effects of minimal electronic sound manipulations. The engagement with sound materia and space, the experience of soundspheres, hardly perceptible sounds and noises, as well as the topic of listening itself are characteristic for her works. The results are reduced but clearly defined structures, developed by the sound materia itself, following and listening to the characteristics and inherent behaviour of each sound. Various collaborations with musicians, writers, video and visual artists.
Veronika Mayer is lecturer at the Institute of Electronic Music and Acoustics (IEM, University of Music and Performing Arts Graz). Her works are presented internationally at festivals and exhibitions of contemporary music and sound art.
